Shoes should adapt to your foot, not the other way around. That is why BÄR uses high-quality leather, as it is the only material that adapts perfectly to your foot like a second skin. The leather stretches, absorbs moisture from your foot, and also looks elegant. Leather is a natural product that has been used for hundreds of years and, with proper care, is extremely durable. We always use the appropriate material depending on the requirements and function. Textiles are also frequently incorporated into the construction of our shoes. For example, the TRANSEUROPA 2.0 model features a very robust and durable combination of materials: a blend of functional textile with water-repellent cow suede and a breathable textile lining.

At BÄR, management knows its suppliers personally and regularly visits their facilities to inspect the material quality and production conditions. Both must meet the company’s quality and sustainability criteria to be suitable for the production of BÄR shoes.
